What things around you remind you of God’s greatness?
Things around me, such as the earth, remind me of God's greatness. It reminds me because I have to know absolutely no one on this earth could ,even come close to creating a planet as God did. Only someone magnificent as God could which is NONE of us. In this story the Lord speaks to Job out of a storm. He tells Job everything that he has done and His greatness. He asks him questions like ''can you do this'' because God knows He can but humans cant. God has done so many great things and will definitely continue to do more.

Thurs. Job 2:1-13 Job and His Friends
How do you normally respond to someone else’s pain?
How should you respond?
Normally, I respond to someone else's pain by feeling bad for them. I should probably pray for them and try to help them if I can though. In this passage Job gets badly injured by Satan who got permission from God to hurt him but still spare his life. God gave Satan this pemission because he trusted Job enough to know that he would not turn from God that he was willing to hurt him. Even his wife said curse God but Job didnt because he knew that it would be a mistake.

Week 8 Bible Reading
Wed. Job 1:1-22 The Testing of Job
In what situations are you most likely to question God’s care?
In situations when I get in trouble with my parents, get hurt, or get my feelings hurt, I start to question God's care. God will never EVER stop caring and loving us because if He did we would all be dead now because we are sinners and God cannot be in contact with sin because He is so perfect. In this story Satan came to the Lord and the Lord told Satan he could do something wrong to Job because he knew Job would follow the Lord and do the right thing. Satan then went to Job's household and burned his field but still Job did the right thing. One day I hope to be trusted by God as much as God trusted Job.

Week 8 Bible Reading
Tues. Esther 6:1-7:10 God Protects His People
When is it helpful to remember that God is still in control of the world?
It is helpful to remember that God is in control of the world when I am having troubles in the world. I remind myself that God is in control and that every thing that happens, happens for a reason of God's plan. In this passage Mordecai is honored. He is honored instead of Haman who I am sure was not at all happy about it. Haman thought he was going to get the king's blessing so he gave him many ideas that were wonderful. In the end Mordecai had gotten the blessing and this all happened because he was a man of God who controls the whole world.

Mon. Esther 5:1-14 Esther Risks Her Life
When was the last time you did something scary to obey God?
The last time I did something scary to obey God was when I knew I made a bad grade on a test and knew I was going to get in trouble for it but I still told her the truth about the test. Even though sometimes I recieve consequences for not studying enough I know I did the right thing by telling my parents the truth. In this story Esther risks her life. She risks her life by going to ask the king and Haman to come to her banquet. The king and Haman both say yes and Haman goes home to tell his family that the king and himself were the only ones invited to the banquet and his family had an idea. The idea was that he should have a pole set up and have Mordecai's body impaled on it.

Fri. Esther 4:1-17 The Queen Decides to Help
In what ways have you shown your faith?
I have shown my faith by sometimes preaching to people who need Jesus. It is definitely hard sometimes but it is always worth a try. In this passage Mordecai persuades Esther to help.He needs Esther to go to the king and stop Haman from killing all of the Jews. He sends this message to Esther through Hathak. Esther agrees to help Mordecai and says to Hathak to say to Mordecai to gather the Jews and have them fast for three days and nights and when this is done she would go to the king.

Week 7 Bible Reading
Thurs. Esther 3:1-5 The Jews in Danger
When are you tempted to compromise your faith?
I am tempted to compromise my faith when I am sometimes in a group with my friends ans they may not be doing the right thing and I will follow. I never need to compromise my faith because that is not what real faith is. In this story King Xerxes put Haman in a place of high honor. All of the people were told to bow down but Mordecai, the jew, did not bow down. He knew God was to be praised and not Haman. When Haman heard that Mordecai was not going to bow down he was enraged.

In this passage King Xerxes had to find a new queen to replace queen Vishti. They found Esther who they immediatly fell in love with. The king sent out a request for a beautiful

Week 7 Bible Reading
Tues. Esther 1:1-22 The Fall of a Queen
How often do you take the important people in your life for granted?
Not too often do I take people for granted but occasionally I do to people younger than me. Just because I am older does not mean I should treat them any differently than any other person.Taking someone for granted is and never will be the right thing to do in any sort of situation. In this story King Xerxes is very rude to Queen Vashti. He ordered her to come before the king, wearing her royal crown, to display her beauty to the people and nobles but she refused which made the king burn woth anger.Since she didn't do what he had said a royal decree was made including things such as Queen Vashti is to never again enter the presence of the king and they gave her royal position to someone else.

What are your expectations when you open God’s Word?
When I open God's word I expect to be amazed by how great God is and to learn a new lesson about what and when to do certain things in my life. This always happens when I read my Bible and that is one of the reasons I love it so much.In this passage Ezra reads to the people, the Book of the Law of God. The people that were read the Bible tried to do exactly what the Bible told them to do.The day they read the Bible was one of the most joyous days in all time and Ezra read the Book of the Law everyday to the people.

Thurs. Nehemiah 2:1-20 Nehemiah Returns to Jerusalem
What relationships in your life need to be rebuilt?
I think the relationship between my siblings and I need to be rebuilt. Even though we fight we still love each other no matter how irritating we are. In this passage Artaxerxes sends Nehemiah to Jerusalem. He sends him because God put on Nehemiah's heart to rebuild Jerusalem's wall. People mocked and ridiculed all who had begun to rebuild it but Nehemiah had faith in God and told them that God would give them success.

Week 6 Bible Reading
Wed. Ezra 3:7-13 Rebuilding the Temple
How do you feel when you’re working on a large project?
When I am working on a large project I feel productive. I don't ever feel lazy doing a project because I know I am doing work that is hopefully appreciated. In this story the temple is rebuilt. Joshua, priests, and the Levites all help rebuild the temple and the people are so happy about the rebuilt temple that they are crying and laughing. I am sure in this story the workers felt very productive as I usually do.
