Monday: I sin so much that I cannot even remember the last time I realized my need for God's forgiveness. I know I need His forgiveness every single day though, along with His mercy. In this passage Isaiah volunteers to help God and God chooses him. A seraphim comes down to Isaiah and touches his mouth with coal saying, ''Your guilt is taken away.''After that the Lord called out,'' Who shall we send?'' That is when Isaiah says,''I will go for You ,Lord.''
Tues. Isaiah 53 The Suffering Servant: How would you describe what Jesus did for you?
I can't even describe what Jesus did for me because it is to hurtful to think about. If I could try to describe it I would say incredibly unselfish, VERY painful, and the sweetest thing anyone has and will ever do for me. In this passage it tells what Jesus did for you. It also says that God gave His only son up for us and he was abslutely, completely, perfect. He was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for OUR sins. Even though that was the very last thing he EVER had to do in his life, He did it for us because he loved and will ALWAYS love us.
Wed. Jerem. 1:1-9 God Calls a Prophet: What do you think about God using your life?
I am absolutely fine with God using my life. If God uses my life that means I am capable of great things. When I know I am capable of great things that makes me feel so good and like I mean a great deal to people. In this passage God calls Jeremiah. God uses his life and tells him to not be scared because He was with him.Jeremiah thinks he is too young but God objects and says,''For I am with you and will rescue you.''
Thurs. Jerem. 36 The Book Burning: How much risk is involved in your relationship with God?
There is not too much risk in my relationship with God. There is not much risk because I go to a Christian school where we are allowed to worship and pray. Also, I live in America which helps not much but more than other countries. In this story Jeremiah dictates what is written in a scroll for the Lord. It is to tell all of the people what disasters He plans to conflict on them unless they turn from their wicked ways. Then Jehoiakim hears what is written in the scroll and burns the book. For this cruel and unecessary action him and his descendants were punished.
Fri. Jerem. 38:1-13 Jeremiah in the Well: What part of your life compares in any way with Jeremiah’s time in the well?
While Jeremiah was in the well he was most likely lonely. Many times in life I feel lonely and with no one to comfort me.Although that is incorrect because I always have God.In this story Jeremiah was thrown into a cistern for sharing to people what the Lord will do one day to their city if they do not turn from their wicked ways. The king was not pleased to hear this and thought Jeremiah should be pu to death so they lowered him into a well by ropes. Then Ebed-Melek tells his king that they put Jeremiah in the cistern. Because Jeremiah had God as his Lord, he was saved from the death pit and stayed in the courtyard.
