Mon. Ruth 3:1-18 Ruth Finds a Husband: What surprising methods has God used in your life?
God has used many surprising methods in my life.I think the main one being the use of my siblings.Sometimes we fight and I think there is no way for them to set an example to me if they keep acting the way they do  but they actually do set an example to me.In this story Ruth finds a husband.Naomi ordered her to go to Boaz after he was done eating and drinking to uncover his feet. Then he gave her 6 ephahs of barley saying she could not go back to her mother empty handed.

Tues. Ruth 4:1-22 A Happy Ending: What future reasons could there be for obeying God today?
There could be many future reasons for obeying God.I think that if you obey God today then continue to obey him that all your rewards will be there when you get to heaven. In this story Boaz and Ruth get married. They had a child and Naomi became a nurse to him.Ruth was obediant and in the end she had a happy ending and God blessed her.

Wed. 1 Samuel 1:1-28 A Serious Prayer: What promises have you made to God lately that you have kept?
I have made a promise to God recently that I would  try and act like Jesus when someone is mean or hurts my feelings. My parents have helped me with that and given me advice.Even though it is the hardest thing in the world to be nice to someone who is not nice to you back it is still possible. In this story there is a very important vow.Hannah makes this vow and it is that if God will give her a male child she would give him over to the Lord.God went by his promise and so did Hannah.
Thurs. 1 Samuel 3:1-21 God Calls Samuel: When you read God’s Word, what do you expect Him to say to you?
I expect him to say,''Did you understand why you read this verse today?''Everyday that I read the Bible there is a reason why I am at the verse that I am at and I think God is trying to teach me a lesson about something. In this story God calls Samuel in his house. The Lord called him many times but Samuel thought it was his father calling him. Then his father told him that it was the Lord so Samuel said to the Lord,''Your servant is listening.'' God was saying something to Samuel just like I think he does to me sometimes.

Fri. 1 Samuel 8:1-5 Samuel’s Disappointing Sons: Are you ever tempted to be greedy and unfair? How can you change?
I am sometimes tempted to be greedy and unfair.Even though I know I should not have been greedy or unfair I stil am which really needs to change.I can change by asking God to help me.In this story Samuel is getting older and he makes his sons judges over Israel. Then his sons were dishonest and stole tribes. They really needed to change just like I need to.

Week 6 Bible Reading (Nov 29-Dec 3)

Mon. Judges 15: 1-20 Samson and the Jawbone
What proof do you have that mistakes usually don’t correct themselves?
I have proof mistakes don't correct themselves from Bible stories.Everyone makes mistakes but not all mistakes correct themselves, so it is best to not make a mistake on purpose. In this story Samson tries to get revenge.Revenge is never the answer to anything so I try to stay away from it.Thankfully we have God to help us not want to get revenge or to have to fix mistakes on our own.

Tues. Judges 16:1-21 Samson and Delilah
In what situations do you find yourself flirting with disaster?
I find myself flirting with disaster when I am ugly or mean to someone.Even though it is the hardest thing in the world to be nice to someone who is mean to you God can always help.In this story Samson falls in love with a girl named Delilah. She tried over and over to get him to tell the secret of how he can become as weak as any other man.She failed over and over until finally he told her the truth and he lost his strenght saying that the LORD had left him.The Lord would never leave him or anyone else.

Wed. Judges 16:22-31 Samson’s Death
How well do you understand God’s patience?
I don't understand God's patience good enough. His patience is more than anyone can ever imagine so it should be easy to understand but to me it really is not. In this story Samson regains his strength. He called out to the Lord to give him strength and the Lord surely did.Samson had to be patient in this story just like we have to be patient with God.

Thurs. Ruth 1:1-22 Ruth and Naomi – A Friendship
How do difficulties affect your friendship?
In this story Ruth and Naomi gain a friendship.Naomi is actually Ruth's mother-in-law and Naomi's husband dies in this story. Also Ruth's husband dies so they both no longer have husbands and Naomi is getting older and older. The deaths of their husbands could have had affected their friendship but Ruth never left her mother-in-law.When something happens to me where it makes me really sad and mean to people is when my friendships get difficult.Even though they did not do anything to me I still take it out on them so I pray that God would really help me with that issue.

Fri. Ruth 2:1-23 Ruth Meets Boaz
When have you found your reputation to be an advantage?
I have found my reputation to be an advatange mostly at school. When I already have friends then I start a new school year it is already easier for me.In this story Ruth meets Boaz.Boaz and Ruth work together and Boaz makes sure she doesnt get hurt or people rebuke her. Then her mother-in-law said blesses be the man who worked with her ,so Boaz was blessed.
