How do these verses bring you peace?
monday: The Lord's Supper means so much to me. This is when Jesus came and told the disciples that he was about to die and leave the earth. This was and is one of the most important moments in history. In this passage The Lord's Supper takes place. Also the betrayal of Judah takes place. The Lord told His apostles to meet Him at a man's house where they would have their Passover dinner. There Jesus and his apostles reclined at a table and He said, "Take this bread and wine and remember me for you will not eat this again until you enter the kingdom of heaven."
ReplyDeleteTuesday: My giving habits are okay but they need to be better. I will give my time but sometimes not my effort. I would give food to homeless people if I saw them often. In this passage a widow gives to the temple treasury. She gave all she had which was 2 copper coins. Then the Lord said," The poor widow gave more than the rich.Surely she shall be rewarded." Even though this widow didn't have much she cared more about others than herself.

ReplyDeleteWednesday: In this story there are ten virgins in which 5 are foolish and 5 are wise. The wise brought oil with their lamps so they got to see the bridegroom. The foolish did not bring the oil needed so they did not get to see the bridegroom. Also in the second story were 2 wise men and 1 foolsih man. The foolish man took the master's bag of gold and dug it without working while the wise men were working to gain double what they were given for their master. In the first story I think I can identify with the wise virgins but in the second story I would probably be the foolish servant because at many times I could be lazy like him.
ReplyDeleteThursday:In this story Jesus prays to his Father, God.First, he prays to Him so God can glorify him. In the second prayer he prays for his desciples and that they will be protected from the evil one. I pray for many people. My mom and I always pray for people we know that have recently gone through disasters. We also pray for people that we care about that are not saved to get saved.
Friday: In the first part of this story Jesus is saying that it is good that he is going away. It is good that he is going away because after he goes away for a while he will be coming back to bring all the believers into heaven with him. In the second part of this story Jesus tells his disciples not to worry. He knew they wouold be worried and have grief because he was leaving but he told them not to have grief because he was coming back. Once he comes back he will bring them in paradise with him. This story brings me peace because it reminds me that I will also be living with Jesus in paradise because I believed in Him and accepted Him as my Savior.
